My Best Weight Loss Tips for Women

The pursuit to losing weight isn’t really appealing for us women. The need to lose weight means limiting the amount of food we eat, avoiding most of the fanciest and delicious desserts, and keeping the body moving by all sorts of sweaty or not so sweaty means. However, the real deal is, you wouldn’t have to go through all that effort to lose weight if only you took care of your body right from the start.

So, if you have a weight problem, recognize it and aim to make a change. Don’t fret because there’s still hope. And while you ready yourself for that big change, I’m here to assist you to stay on track. Here are my best weight loss tips for women.

1. Encouragement

I believe in the power of encouraging yourself and receiving encouragement and support from those people around you to help you stay motivated to achieve your goal. But, I have discovered ways on how to encourage yourself, and that is by reading weight loss success stories from random people, either through magazines, online forums, television shows, or real-life stories of your family and friends.

Not only will you get proven weight loss techniques but you may also instill in your heart that it is really possible to lose up to 100lbs! You might want to read the inspiring weight loss success story of Tricia Minnick.

2. Set a deadline goal

I know this is rare advice but based on experience. Giving yourself a deadline for achieving your goal helps you stay focused and disciplined. I suggest a three-month weight loss quest.

3.  Say no to crash dieting

Women are known for this. Depriving yourself with food won’t do the trick if you want long term success. Instead, it will just make you sick and unhealthy. Of course we need nutrients and calories to survive the day but the idea is to control your intake, not to starve to yourself to death, which leads me to the next tip.

4. Create a healthy meal plan and strictly adhere to it

I know it’s frustrating to let go of your favorite fast-food chain eating habit and sweets intake but you need to sacrifice these cravings until you can manage to indulge in more disciplined portions.

According to Tara Gidus, R.D. of the American Dietetic Association, healthy snacking helps control hunger and leads to portion-sized meals during lunch and dinner. Drinking water before meals helps too. Substitute white milk bread with whole wheat bread, pork with beans and tofu, fresh milk with soy milk, cereals with oatmeal, cakes with fresh fruit platters, and soda with water.

5. Lastly, the secret ingredient in weight loss is exercise

Start burning that stored fat and unwanted calories through regular 30 or 60-minute physical activity sessions. Jog for 30 minutes and allot the remaining minutes with weight training to make your muscles firm.

These are the steps to permanent weight loss so that you can write your success story and share it with others to help spur them on. These weight loss tips for women will work just as well for teenagers and you guys out there too. No secrets, just some simple steps combined with persistence and patience will get you there.
